The Galvladi Mountain Inn is situated just 45 minutes west of Asheville and is intended to be a place to escape the hectic city pace, drink in the fresh air, read a good book, meet new friends, and rekindle relationships. Perched atop 250 acres of protected Great Smoky Mountains forestland and surrounded by an additional 1500 acres of public property, it is perfectly suited to long, strenuous hikes, with more than 2500 feet of elevation change, or casual walks on well marked trails. You will observe waterfalls and forest fauna, and you may catch a glimpse of one of many native wildlife species. The views, with the changing backdrop of the seasons, are spectacular any time of year. At 4000 feet elevation, summer days are warm, and the nights are cool. Spring and fall are sensual explosions of color and aroma. |

The Galvladi Mountain Inn is a hand-crafted, round-log structure with several massive stone fireplaces. The Inn sports five luxurious guest rooms and inviting common areas, including an elegant great room, sunny solarium, cozy library, romantic dining room, charming outdoor and screened porches, and full workout facility. Each room is tastefully decorated according to its unique theme, and all rooms are furnished with king or queen pillowtop beds, sitting areas with comfortable reading chairs, satellite TV, large luxurious baths, wet bars with refrigerators, and coffee pots with the Galvladi Mountain Inn special blend coffee beans. Many rooms are equipped with large soaking tubs after which you can enjoy a relaxing massage by a professional masseur or masseuse. |

For our guests' convenience, we offer 2 pricing plans. Our traditional BnB Plan which includes lodging and breakfast, and our VIP Plan which includes accommodations and three meals per day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals are painstakingly prepared by Chef Terry with your health in mind. Many of the ingredients are grown in the Inn garden, and special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. Early risers who are anxious to explore the wonders of our property may select our "Early Risers" breakfast. Those on a more casual timetable may enjoy our hot breakfast served at 9:00 am. You may select a backpacker's lunch, or enjoy a picnic lunch at your leisure. Hors d' oeuvres are served each evening from 6:00 until 7:00, and dinner is served in our dining room at 7:00.

The Galvladi Mountain Inn is located on 250 acres of spectacular mountain vistas with miles of hiking trails. The area is a treasure trove of hardwood trees, colorful mountain laurel, splendid wildflowers, and a wide assortment of wildlife from bears to hummingbirds. Stand or sit anywhere and enjoy the spectacular views. Taste the cool, fresh mountain air! The historic relocation of the Cherokee Nation, The Trail of Tears, began in Western North Carolina. The word "galvladi" is the Cherokee word meaning "heaven". This Cherokee word signifies our intent to preserve and protect the property with the same respect as did the Cherokee people and others who called this wonderful place their home.
