Fontana Village is located in western North Carolina, and features several lovely B&B establishments. In 2009 the area will be celebrating Great Smoky Mountains National Park 75th Anniversary with events throughout the year. In April there is the celebration of the Dam Kids, who are people that were children during the time that the Fontana Dam was constructed in the early 40s. The Smoky Mountain Railway is a very popular attraction in this area. Harrah's Cherokee Casino is located very close to Fontana Village and a great nightlife spot or to test your luck! After a wild night of gambling you'll be glad you booked a room at a nearby Fontana Village bed and breakfast and Fontana Village inn. The Wildwood Grille offers a more casual atmosphere with great food, drink, fun music and a great view of the mountains!
