Enjoy your stay in the Village of Marshville located twenty-five miles from Charlotte, just off Highway #74. Visit local antique shops, flea markets, and nearby artist's studios, including one located in the Drake House. Wingate University is only four miles west with art exhibits, special lectures, musical performances, and popular theatrical productions on campus. Many special events take place within an easy drive from Drake House including the Queens Cup Steeplechase at Mineral Springs and Museum of the Waxhaw's and the Waxhaw Scottish Games in the historical town of Waxhaw.
