Introduction

Have you been looking for that special place to stay on your next vacation? A home that brings back the elegant time from years past? The Cozad-Cover House is what you have been searching for.

The Cozad-Cover House was built circa 1905 for/by the Cozad family who owned a substantial tract in Andrews early in the twentieth century. A developer and builder, Cozad erected several large gracious homes in the area. In 1918, The Cozad House was sold to Samuel Cover of F. P. Cover & Sons Tannery. He made some modifications to the rear of the home, which may have been sun porches, which later became part of upstairs bedroom and, in 1938, a bathroom. It remained in the Cover family until the death of Frances Cover in 1999.

Our guests are surrounded by style, furniture and collectibles from another era. What fun to just browse around the house at your leisure looking at the many accents your hosts have collected. There are views from the large porch of the manicured grounds and distant mountains. Stroll the expansive grounds to see the original doll house and carriage/laundry building. Let your eyes roam over the many flowers, the decorative vegetable garden, and small goldfish pond.

There is also a cottage and a studio apartment on the premises for those looking for a little more privacy. Guests staying here still have full access to the entire property.
