Clayton, North Carolina is located in Johnston County. It is home to a Clayton bed and breakfast, one of the best B&B's in town. The fourth annual 'Clayton Idol' competition will take place the week of the Harvest Festival. The Ava Gardner Museum is home to an incredible collection including original scripts, photos, costumes, and personal effects of screen legend Ava Gardner-a true Hollywood "Cinderella" story. The North Carolina Museum of Art features the most dynamic permanent collection south of the Potomac and east of the Mississippi rivers. Come on over to McCall's BBQ and Seafood Restaurant, a fine barbecue and seafood restaurant serving the Clayton and Goldsboro areas. Fiesta Mexicana Restaurante has good Tex-Mex at reasonable prices.
