Located in Highlands, North Carolina, The Chandler Inn is surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountain region. The Inn is located a pleasant five-minute walk to Main Street, Highlands, where it is serenely nestled in trees and nature. Surrounding a brick courtyard, the Inn is composed of three barn-sided, wooden buildings. Porches with swings and rocking chairs, hanging baskets, and plenty of bird feeders create rustic and relaxing ambiance. |
| Each of our fifteen guest rooms is individually decorated. Brass headboards, eyelet sheets and comforters, country wallpapers, and custom wainscoting have been used throughout. All of the guest rooms have private baths, color television, air conditioning, and your own private entrance. Our rooms with fireplaces are especially cozy and romantic. |

Breakfast is a special part of your stay, and every morning we serve coffee and homemade baked goods. Join other guests in our hospitality room, which offers seating by the fireplace, and tables on the outside deck. If you prefer, you may wish to take trays back to your room and enjoy breakfast on your private balcony. The Chandler Inn has the ambience and charm of a Bed and Breakfast with all the amenities of a Country Inn. |

Open year round, each season provides a uniquely different reason to visit The Chandler Inn. In summer, you are surrounded by lush green foliage. In winter, the bare trees form abstract sculptures. In spring, the woods come alive with colorful wildflowers, accompanied by the orchestral sound of wildlife. In fall, the woods glow as the trees adorn themselves in shades of orange, red, and gold. Our staff will be pleased to help you arrange golf, tennis, hiking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding or fishing. |

| The Highlands Plateau, located in the southern Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, is a wonderful place to spend some quiet peaceful days, away from the traffic, phone calls, and hustle and bustle of city life. Highlands is located just 125 miles from the suburbs of Atlanta, 85 miles from Greenville, SC, and 65 miles from Asheville. The village itself sits atop the plateau, at an average altitude of 4,118 feet above sea level. The Benchmark on Main Street measures the altitude there at 3,835 feet, while just a few blocks away, Satulah Mountain crests at 4,543 feet. (Click here for more area information) |
