The moment you arrive at the Carolina House Bed & Breakfast you will feel welcome. This home in the National Register of Historic Places, was built in 1880, renovated in 1997 and opened as a bed and breakfast in 1998. The Carolina House is located two blocks from the beautiful Pamlico River, 25 minutes from East Carolina University in Greenville, 1 hour from Interstate 95 exit, Wilson (264E) or Rocky Mount (64#/13S/264E) or 2 hours on 17S from Virginia Beach, VA.

To get away and relax, Visit Us... Stroll the tree lined streets of this historic town which offers a magnificent view of life long ago or just sit on a bench by the river and watch the sail boats, kayak or motor boats go by. Visit the North Carolina Estuarium where the river meets the sea -- an interest to all ages. The Estuarium exhibits science, nature, art and history. A short drive can take you to a golf course or a state park. Visit Bath, the oldest town in North Carolina, or catch a short ferry ride over to Aurora and visit the Fossil Museum. Our home is beautifully decorated with period antiques combined with contemporary furnishings. You can relax in our parlor on a late 1800 sofa while you watch TV, converse with other guests or do nothing. Reading material is available. Our four spacious guest rooms are all comfortably furnished and with private baths. The Princess Room has a double bed and a twin bed, while the King's Room has a king bed, and the Queen's Room has a queen size bed and the bath has a two person Jacuzzi. These three rooms are located upstairs. The Royal Suite, queen/twin bed with private sitting room is located downstairs. Our breakfast consists of coffee/tea/juice, fresh fruit, apple pancakes (just like German Grandma made) and our main dish: Western Omelet, Toast Tropicana, or other varieties that change daily but will always delight the most "picky" breakfast person. We will accommodate any dietary needs. Toni and Peter Oser are your hosts. Toni is a Carolinian, Peter is from Germany. Both have enjoyed many stays in Pensionen mit Frühstück (bed and breakfasts). Our Bed & Breakfast is the perfect place to let us pass on to you good service as we have experienced in our travels.
