Two-person jacuzzi suites are the modern additions to this 1890 gated Victorian home that has been extensively restored to serve as a bed-and-breakfast inn. Located in Durham's first-designated historic district, the inn has gated grounds and on-site parking. Voted "Best of Bed and Breakfasts in the Triangle Area" [City Search, 2006-7]. For over 17 years, Dolly and Frank have welcomed guests from all over the world. Mature azaleas and rhododendron flank the huge wraparound porch, providing natural privacy for those who care to enjoy an outside leisurely breakfast or afternoon tea.

The garden-surrounded inn is located at the edge of downtown Durham, just east of the library in the Holloway Historic District. A wonderful selection of exceptional restaurants, charming shops, the Duke University campus and gardens, museums, significant historical sites, and the Research Triangle Park are all within just a few minutes' drive. Such Victorian features as a huge wraparound columned porch (with swing), high curved-top ceilings, original mantles, hand-crafted woodwork, and spacious rooms give some insight to life a hundred years ago. Enjoy the "magic" of breaking bread with your hosts and/or other guests while engaging in stimulating conversation! For those preferring a private repast, we will gladly accommodate. Your personal comfort is of paramount importance to Dolly & Frank. Multiple down pillows and firm mattresses are in the four bedrooms all with private baths. Two rooms are spacious suites with oversize jacuzzis. Lots of color, antiques and collectibles, art, and flowers throughout the Inn are evidence of a life involving travel and adventure. Frank's varied gourmet breakfasts are prepared according to your schedule: walnut crepes with raspberry topping, for instance, are a favorite with regular guests. We now provide free Wi-Fi.
