| Introduction |

The historic Blair House was built in 1893 by country lawyer Joseph Reese Blair. The Blair House now provides gracious bed and breakfast accommodations in a hometown setting. Completely renovated in 2001, four guest suites are available, each with bedroom, sitting room, and private bath. Each suite also has in-room cable, DVD, and phone, as well as individual climate control. A complimentary refreshment center with snacks and beverages is also available. The home has been family-owned for over 100 years and the innkeepers are Reese Blair's granddaughter, Claudia Blair Bulthuis and her husband Jim. The Blair House is located in rural Montgomery County. The surrounding Uwharrie National Forest offers hiking, canoeing, and horseback riding. Within an easy drive are historic sites such as The Alston House and Town Creek Indian Mound. Other points of interest include the North Carolina Zoo, Seagrove Potteries, and antique shopping in Cameron and Ellerbe. Several local golf courses are available, or a 45 minute drive east will bring you to Pinehurst, North Carolina's golf center. |

The stained glass front door provides a welcoming entrance to The Blair House. Entering through the front door brings you into the hallway with its grand staircase accessing the second floor suites. A handicap accessible first floor suite is also available. To the right of the entry is Reese's Library where you can relax with the newspaper or a bit of local history. To the left is Ada's Parlor; a fine spot for reflection or listening to music. Breakfast is served in the large dining room which offers private tables but a social atmosphere. The breakfast menu changes daily. It is our desire that evening will find you relaxing in one of our comfortable suites, perusing the library, or enjoying the night air on The Blair House's wrap-around porch. We'll have breakfast ready for you in the morning. |

| The Spring Suite: Located on the first floor, the Spring Suite provides easy access with a large bathroom with walk-in shower and separate bath tub. The sitting room has a full sofa sleeper, overstuffed chairs, a gas fireplace, and a desk with phone. The bedroom has a King-sized bed. $120 per night for two guests, $10 per additional guest |
| The Summer Suite: Located on the second floor with room for the whole family, the Summer Suite has a sitting room with fireplace, bedroom with fireplace, and large bath. The sitting room has a queen sofa sleeper and a planning desk. The bedroom has two queen-sized beds. The bathroom includes a separate shower and claw-foot tub. $120 per night for two guests, $10 per additional guest |
| The Autumn Suite: Also on the second floor, the Autumn Suite's warm tones and gas fireplace will take the chill off even the coolest October nights. It has been designed with "Honeymoon Suite" in mind. The sitting room has a fireplace, queen-sized sofa sleeper, and comfortable chairs. The bedroom has king-sized bed. The bathroom has a separate shower and over-sized soaking tub with room for two. $120 per night for two guests, $10 per additional guest |
| The Winter Suite: On the second floor at the front of The Blair House, is the Winter Suite. It has a sitting room, private bath, and bedroom with fireplace. It also has a private balcony overlooking the grounds. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a small desk/game table with two chairs, as well as a gas fireplace. The bathroom has a tub and shower and a decorative stained-glass window. The sitting room has a loveseat, chairs, and double doors leading to the balcony. $110 per night for two guests, $10 per additional guest |
