Although we recommend bird watching, rocking on the front porch, reading, smelling the roses and snoozing as your primary activities, there is much to see and do within easy driving distance. There are the quaint shops, art galleries and unique eateries in old town Boone, the trendy shops of Blowing Rock, the walking and riding trails at Cone Mansion and Price Lake, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, the Horn in the West Pageant, plus the many local venues for hiking, fishing, golfing, and whitewater excursions.

A picture window framing a view of the distant Blue Ridge Mountains graces each of these large, very private rooms. Both have a queen-sized bed, a single bed and a comfortable love seat. Their private bathrooms feature twin showers.

Joy Luck Suite is decorated with Edwardian antiques and Chinese art.

Each of these first floor rooms has a queen-size bed, comfortable seating and a large private bathroom with tub and shower.

Whimsy features a whimsical collections of naïve art and toys.
