Introduction

Balsam Mountain Inn, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, is one of the South's grand old inns. Built at the turn of the century, this lovingly restored romantic inn features a casual elegance that's lured travelers to the North Carolina Mountains for decades.

Visitors find 50 comfortable, spacious guestrooms and suites, each with its own unique décor. Peace and quiet is guaranteed as rooms come without phones or televisions. The inn's amenities include: Seven Springs restaurant, a 2,000-volume library, two meeting rooms, card/puzzle room, sitting parlor, hiking trails, gift shop and two 100-foot porches, perfect for rocking and relaxing.

Balsam Mountain Inn is conveniently located in the heart of North Carolina's mountains, just off U.S. Hwy. 23/74, about 40 minutes west of Asheville. It's adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway and near the Mountains to the Sea Trail. Popular mountain towns of Sylva, Dillsboro, Waynesville, Maggie Valley and Cherokee are a short drive.

There are three different types of rooms:
Regular rooms $139 breakfast included. 5 day special is $495.
Mini Suites $159 breakfast included. 5 day special is $575.
Suites $189 and $219 breakfast included. 5 day specials are not available for these rooms.

Policies
  • Five Day Special is Sunday thru Thursday nights ONLY and does not apply to Holiday weekends or the month of October.
  • One night's room rate must be paid within five (5) days of booking to confirm any room reservation.
  • This deposit may be paid by MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover at the time of reservation, or through the mail by personal check or money order.
  • Individual room reservations need to be cancelled seven (7) days prior arrival date to receive a deposit refund.
  • Groups and events have other cancellation policies.
  • Add $15 per day for each additional person 12 and over.
  • Rates subject to change and all applicable taxes will be applied.
  • Check-In: 3 PM or later; Check-Out: 11 AM. Please call to establish a check-in after 9 PM.
