Since 1790 travelers and residents have enjoyed the warm hospitality and cool mountain breezes at the Baird House. We invite you to take a step back in time and enjoy the quiet charm and ambience of country life in a beautifully restored Colonial Farmhouse that overlooks the river.

Secluded, yet only minutes away from Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk, North Carolina, Baird House Inn is the perfect, quiet getaway. Comfortably furnished with antiques and heirlooms from several generations of our family, you will feel at home the moment you open the door.

Here at the Baird House we strive to pamper our guests. Check in and unwind from your travels with a glass of fresh lemonade, while you rock on the front porch. Or, sip hot apple cider curled up in front of the fireplace.

Later, retire to your spacious bedroom with its own private sitting area. Get a refreshing night's sleep snuggled under goose down comforters. Awaken to the aroma of fresh baked bread, muffins, fresh fruit and enticing entrees. Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast by the fire in our dining room.

Lodging from $129 to $179 double occupancy.
Children over age 10 welcome.
$25 per night each additional person.
All rooms with private baths.
Four rooms with Fireplaces.
No Smoking.
Personal checks, cash or credit cards are accepted.
No Pets permitted.
Full Country Breakfast served.
A minimum of one nights deposit or 50% of total stay is required when the reservation is made.
Balance is due at check-out.
Two week cancellation notice is required to receive your deposit refund less $10 bookkeeping charge.
30 day cancellation notice is required in October.
If cancellation notice is received in less than two weeks (30 days in October) from date reserved, deposit is subject to forfeiture unless we are able to re-rent your reserved room.
Entire facility is available for weekly rental for large groups!
