Introduction

We offer a relaxed-casual/elegant atmosphere at our 1901 home, known locally as the Smith House. The property is located in the Appalachian Mountains and has vista views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are located 18 miles north of Asheville and about 60 miles from Mount Mitchell, the tallest mountain east of the Mississippi River. During your stay with us, enjoy our public rooms. We offer early riser coffee and beverages. Join us in the afternoon for beverages and appetizers. Feel free to utilize our wireless internet access.

Our open casually-elegant Dining Room offers mountain and front yard views. Breakfast is served daily from 8:30 am to 10:00 am daily. Also our snack and beverage center is located in the Dining Room. In our Library you will find a variety of books, magazines, and games. In our Sitting Room relax in front of our environmentally friendly gel fueled fireplace.

Rates and Policies

  • Room rate for single-double occupancy $115 per night,
  • $130 per night triple occupancy.
  • Rates are subject to state and local sales tax.
  • Dietary requirements will be accommodated if advised 24 hours prior to arrival.
  • Local food products are served when possible.
  • Smoking allowed outside only, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
  • For the comfort of all our guests, pets are prohibited as well as children under 16.
  • Check-in: after 3 pm and prior to 6 pm. Check-out: 11:30 am.
  • Reservations require 1 night deposit per room, at time of reservation or 90 days prior to arrival.
  • We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA.
  • Checks are acceptable for deposit only if received 30 days prior to arrival date.
  • Deposit is refundable if cancellation for a single room reservation is made 14 days prior to scheduled check-in date.
  • Multi-room reservations require a 21 day cancellation notice.
  • Credit Cards or cash are acceptable for payment upon check out.
