1857 on 100 acres of a former cotton plantation, with 14 rooms, 10
fireplaces, 14-foot ceilings, now fully restored. Four guest rooms, with
canopied beds, antique furnishings, private baths, satellite TV. Full
breakfat on fine china and crystal. Slave quarters, Civil War battle,
buried treasure, original diaries, ledgers, slave stories and battle
accounts. Pool, gift shop, stocked lake. Children welcome. Closed
January and February. All rooms $135.
