McWillie-Singleton House McWillie-Singleton House - Fifteen (or five) miles from the Trace, this home is set in the heart of the Canton, Mississippi Historic District, just a stroll to the main square. The home was built about 1860 and has 14 foot ceilings, heart pine flooring, and two shady porticoes. The billiard room is also a business center with PC, printer, scanner, high-speed and wireless Internet connection, and copier. There is a suite with a king tester bed, TV, fireplace, and bath with a claw-foot tub, for $130. The upstairs room has a queen bed, TV, and bath and is $100. Children over seven welcome. Breakfast served at 7:00 weekdays and 8:00 weekends. *Featured in /Southern Living/ Magazine!

Oak Hill Oak Hill - Three miles from the Trace in Raymond and twenty miles south of Jackson, this cottage has two rooms, each with a private entrance, private bath, and cable TV. The cottage was built in 1870 and is just behind the main house, which was built in 1836. Both are recently restored and are on the Historic Register. There is a refrigerator with refreshments on the deck. Full breakfast. $90 for two.

Cedarwood Cedarwood - Milepost 79 - Located on two acres, three miles from the Trace, behind the courhouse in Raymond’s historic district. Guests stay in the c. 1850 Greek revival front house in two roomy upstairs bedrooms and relax in the parlor, open front gallery, glass sunroom, and cozy sitting and refreshment area. Hosts live in the connecting 1830’s rear house. On the National Historic Register and awarded the Mississippi Heritage Trust Award of Excellence for the restoration. $100.

Mamie's Cottage Mamie's Cottage - Milepost 76 - Just a few miles from the Trace, near Raymond, this quaint 1840's cottage won an Award of Merit from the Mississippi Heritage Trust for its restoration! It has two suites, each with an outside entrance. Each has a large bedroom and an adjoining small one. There’s a porch, a deck, TVs and VCRs, and a small refrigerator in each. Full breakfast is served in the large interesting main house. $115.

The Corners The Corners Bed & Breakfast - In historic Vicksburg, MS, 15 miles from the Trace, this mansion was built around 1873 as a wedding present from father to daughter and is on the National Historic Register. All rooms are furnished with antiques and have televisions; some have working fireplaces! Rooms range from $110 to $145.

Annabelle Bed and Breakfas Annabelle Bed and Breakfast - Milepost 60 or 65 - Also in Vicksburg, 15 miles from the Trace, this impressive Victorian-Italianate residence was built 1868. All rooms, in the charming adjacent guesthouse, open onto the back gallery with a view of the large swimming pool and courtyard. There are 13 foot ceilings and chandeliers, wireless internet connections, cable TV. Some rooms have whirlpool tubs. $135-$160.

Collina Plantation Collina Plantation - Milepost 39 - This classic Greek Revival planter's home in Port Gibson, just two miles from the Trace, was built around 1835 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Beautifully restored, with a library with satellite TV, books and magazines, on nine acres of grounds, yet within walking distance of the historic downtown. Two guest rooms, each with private entrance to the rear gallery. $135 a couple.

Oak Square Oak Square - This home is also in Port Gibson, two miles from the Trace. The grounds of this home contain two guest houses with seven rooms for guests, each with a massive four-poster canopy bed and other antique furnishings. In nice weather, you'll enjoy the patio. And Port Gibson is certainly a "must see"! A full Southern breakfast is served each morning; dinner available by prior arrangement. $125-$158.
