Travel information about Missoula, Montana

Missoula is the second largest city in Montana and located in Missoula County. You will find a plethora of activities to keep you busy during a stay at a Missoula bed and breakfast. Local events include the International Wildlife Film Festival held at the historic Wilma Theatre and shows by the Missoula Children’s Theatre, an international touring company. For outdoor recreation, head to the Rattlesnake Wilderness or Rattlesnake National Recreation Area. During the summer wildfire season it is popular to tour the Forest Service’s smokejumper base. Take the whole family on a tour and then go across the walking bridge over the Montana RailLink Railroad – kids will love the excitement. Bikers are drawn to Missoula because of the Adventure Cycling Association, the largest cycling membership organization in North America. Be sure to check out the action at the downtown headquarters where many bikers stop for photos, advice and ice cream. Head back to your Missoula inn or B&B to clean up and take a nap before heading to dinner at the Depot Bar and Restaurant or the Blue Canyon Kitchen and Tavern.
