"One of the loveliest landscapes in America," is how the Delta Queen Steamboat Company describes Linden Plantation. Follow a sunken road back in time to visit an 1820's plantation founded by the Vick family, who founded Vicksburg and passed the plantation down through four generations to the present owners. Over 750 azaleas lead you down the formal driveway to a formal entrance flanked by four 160-year-old magnolias. Stand among the historic trees of Warren County and experience the time when Union troops marching into Vicksburg camped on its grounds. |

| Bryan and Joy Brabston have restored the land and created eight acres of formal and informal gardens on the estate. In its history, Linden has served as a working farm. Now it is home to one of the South's great garden and historic tour sites, and a residence that features much of the feel and furnishings of the original plantation home. | The present home is modeled after a 1790 Creole Plantation home and features furniture, china, and paintings from the original period. The house and gardens have been featured in "Bountiful Flower Garden" by Odewald and Welsh and Jim Wilson's "Gardening Through the Golden Years." |
House and Garden tours are scheduled by appointment and conducted by the owners from March 15 through November 1, and Polly's Cabin, a wonderfully cozy retreat, is available to overnight guests year round. Enjoy the quiet and solitude of the "Polly House" cabin - for a day or a week. The cabin features central heat and air conditioning, a fully-equipped kitchen, a bath and great room with functional fireplace. Sleeping accommodations include a double bed and queen sofa bed. The back deck affords great opportunity for wildlife viewing. Multiple walking paths are available, all situated in the middle of eight acres of gardens.
