Don't Miss Our Special Facilities
Guests have full use of the antique-filled parlor and dining room, where they enjoy classical music while reading the morning papers. Outstanding Victorian plasterwork adorns the ceilings of both rooms.
1888 Wensel House is located in the heart of the historic district across from tour headquarters, shopping, dining, trolley stop, and carriage rides. The bluff overlooking the river and several tour houses are less than two blocks away.
Natchez is the best place in the world to see white-columned mansions built by wealthy cotton planters before the Civil War. Natchez also has a broader appeal with nationally significant sites related to Native American and African American history. Particularly appealing to visitors are the pedestrian friendly, historic commercial and residential neighborhoods.
GUEST REVIEW: 8/9/01 "Just wanted to say thanks for a delightful stay this week. The breakfast was superb and the location of the house to the historical part of town was so handy, we could walk everywhere we wanted to. Your hospitality was very generous. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and we mark you right up there with the best of them. Also, it was a bargain for the price of the stay. It was also inviting for a return trip in the near future. Once again, thanks for a great time and an interesting visit to as wonderful a town as Natchez." -- The Stelly's
