School House Bed & Breakfast reservations are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit equal to one night's room rate, including applicable taxes, charged to a valid credit card.
We accept Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
Some holiday, special event and peak season weekends require a two night minimum stay.
Posted rates are subject to change without notice.
If a reservation is cancelled at least 10 days in advance of the scheduled arrival date, a refund of the reservation deposit less a 10% handling charge will be given, or fully exchanged for a gift certificate to be used on a future date.
When a cancellation is received with nine days or less in advance of the scheduled arrival date, you will be charged for the entire cost of the reserved night(s) unless we are able to re-book your room for all nights reserved.
If we are able to rebook your room, a refund will be given less a 10% handling charge.
Failure to cancel your reservation will result in charges for all nights of your reserved stay.
Cancellation requests are always confirmed by the innkeeper via e-mail or phone.
Group Reservations & Cancellations
Group reservations at the School House Bed & Breakfast (more than three rooms) require a 50% non-refundable advance deposit, with balance collected at check-in. If the reservation is cancelled with at least 30 days notice, there are no additional charges. If the cancellation is made with 29 or less days notice, the entire balance due for the stay will be charged.
Check-in is from 4 - 6 p.m. A convenient self check-in procedure for later arrivals is available with advance notice.
Dormitory guests use a totally self check-in procedure that is available starting at 2:30 p.m.
Check-out is by 11 a.m. for both Inn and Dormitory guests.
Children (including infants) less than 10 years of age may not stay in the Inn; however, children of any age may stay in the Dormitory. Each child/infant counts towards the maximum occupancy of the Dormitory rooms.
Guests are not allowed to bring guest pets; only ADA recognized service animals are allowed. However, boarding kennels are available in nearby Columbia.
For the safety and comfort of all guests, no smoking, incense or open flames of any kind are allowed inside the Inn or the Dormitory.
Smoking on the property is permitted on exterior patios only.
There is a minimum $500 cleaning charge for violating the smoking/candles policy.
