Romantic luxury, surrounded by Ozark mountains, peaceful lakes, flowing rivers, waterfalls and state parks; there is not a more plentiful source for outdoor recreation in Missouri than you will encounter here. As reported in Missouri Life Magazine, Rachel's really is a "Place of Fairytale Romance"! The large verandah, overlooking one of Rachel's many garden ponds, offers the very best views or our stunning sunrise and sunset. It's perfect for taking in a breath of fresh air, bird watching, book-reading, and for mingling with others.

Each of five luxurious suites has a private bath, boasting of both a shower and a whirlpool tub or Jacuzzi. Made-to-order mattresses don each of our queen or king size canopy beds. Ease into any room, confident that it will include a fireplace, satellite TV and DVD, wireless Internet access, bath robes, refrigerator and coffee pot. Many suites even have private entrances with decks. Just two hours south of St. Louis, this elegant Missouri Inn, now doing business as Rachel's Bed and Breakfast, was once known as "the Bolch Mansion". Originally built in 1921; it is the oldest residence in this quaint little town. The current owners have taken great strides to restore the elegance and charm of the home's original construction. It is an Arts and Craft style home that features a warm invitation to all.

The restoration has re-established the 9 1/2 foot ceilings throughout the first level and elaborated on the home's original "tongue and groove" interior. The spacious drawing room is a cordial setting where guests can relax, and friends can assemble to socialize.

Dining at Rachel's is nothing like eating at your typical restaurant. There's a huge difference between "dining" and eating. Eating is what we do just to fill our hunger pangs, and we can do that with a ham sandwich at home! By contrast, "Dining" is an exceptional experience that's hard to duplicate! That exceptional experience can be found at Rachel's! You won't find crowds or loud conversations and you won't find any lines waiting to be seated. Our dinner ambiance makes us shine by comparison! With our candlelight setting and soft music, you will know this dining experience has been created exclusively for you. You will be seated at an elegantly set table, with flowers and candle light. After selecting your beverage, you will begin your experience with our very popular house salad & dressing (a combination you will remember!), served with our famous (and huge) hot yeast rolls, prior to selecting your entree from one of Rachel's unique recipes, known for their exquisite flavor.

You'll find a nice selection of wine, champagne and beer for sale in the dining room at Rachel's B&B. As a result of the liquor license laws, any alcohol not purchased at Rachel's cannot be consumed in any of the public areas on the premises.
