Where Missouri-German Charm and Magnificent River Views Await...
Huber's Ferry Bed & Breakfast, a magnificent example of Missouri-German architecture, holds a majestic position atop the bluffs overlooking the Osage and Maries Rivers. The house, circa 1881, and impressive barn, circa 1894, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In 1992, we began restoring the three-story home. William Huber (b.1844-d.1914), a descendent of early German settlers, prominent farmer and ferry owner, was the original owner of the property.
Our inn is a step back to a more peaceful, romantic time. The landscaped grounds have sweeping flower gardens which attract hummingbirds and butterflies in warmer seasons.
Huber's Ferry is conveniently located close to Jefferson City, but a world away from the stress of everyday life. On 3 1/2 acres overlooking the rivers and surrounded by hills and river valley farms.
Inside, adjoining the entry hall are the elegant, antique-filled parlor and dining room. The library is a relaxing place to learn more about Missouri and local history by a cozy fire on crisp evenings.
The second floor hallway, featuring Huber family and ferry photos, connects to four spacious guest rooms. Each guest room features a private bath, ceiling fan and air conditioning. The bright and airy rooms are accented with family heirlooms, lace and period antiques.
