Garth Woodside Mansion is located in this charmed town, often hailed as "America's Hometown", Hannibal, Missouri. It has captured the spirit of adventure with Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Becky Thatcher, and Mark Twain's stories about life on the Mississippi River.

The entire first floor has been restored, not renovated, back to its 1870's splendor. All four seasons bring a different light to the home and each one is more grand than the previous. Gardens are open for your enjoyment as well as the paths throughout the estate.

Formal Parlor:
The fireplace in this room is of white marble from Mt. Carrara in Italy. There is a hand carved lion's head in the beautiful mantle. The seven piece cherry parlor set is in the Eastlake style (circa 1870).

Family Parlor:
This room was used for the family to relax and the children to play. The furniture in this room is a mixture of transitional pieces. The fireplace in this room has the original tiles. There is a refrigerator in this room that all guests have access to. There are regular and diet sodas, and bottled water. There are many books, playing cards, puzzles, and games in this room that are for our guest's enjoyment.

Other Rooms:
There is a gift shop just off of the Family Parlor where the mansion offers souvenirs, such as the famous hand-thrown clay mugs with the Garth Mansion logo engraved in them. Since the opening of the restaurant, overnight guests have access to the butler's pantry, and the redone cleaning area. The butler's pantry leads to the Woodside Restaurant.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, the most important meal of the day. Some of our very best recipes and secrets are served for breakfast. We accommodate guest's special dietary needs. So make sure when you call to mention those.
