The Chrysalis is a 5000 sq. ft bed and breakfast and private retreat center boasting beautiful indoor and outdoor shared living spaces, appointed in an eclectic fusion of styles that reflects its architecture. The Chrysalis on Woodlawn invites you to roam into its luxury gourmet kitchen, private gardens, large back yard and any of its five decks and patios.

This is a perfect place to get away, enjoy a featured workshop, or have a relaxing therapeutic massage. Eat healthy gourmet breakfasts created by a holistic nutritionist, then get on a bike and discover Grant's Trail or take a walk through historic Kirkwood, filled with boutique shops, numerous restaurants and a fabulous Farmer's Market.

Private Retreats

Plan your own retreat with your own group. Here are some ideas: Girls Only Weekends, Family Weekends,

Today Kirkwood retains the charm and character of the past combined with abundant shopping, dining, and entertainment in an attractive pedestrian and bike-friendly atmosphere.

  • Biking: Check out the Head of Grant's Trail Bike Route located 5 blocks from the Chrysalis on Woodlawn. Grab a seat for you and your bike on the train and ride cross state on the famous Katy Trail. Parking for your car is no problem; The friendly volunteers at the train stations can answer all of your questions
