Introduction
Casa Magnolia was built in 1906 by Jacob Stockey, owner of the city's largest clay brick company. This beautiful home was built as a wedding present for his daughter, Edith.
It was 1997. Jordi and I, along with our two-year-old son, Jesse, were searching for a beautiful old house big enough for a bed and breakfast. It was love at first sight. Since that time, we have lovingly dedicated our spare time to restoring its grandeur.
Casa Magnolia is conveniently located ten minutes from downtown St. Louis, with easy access to Highways 44, 40, 55, I70, and 270. The Missouri Botanical Garden is just a 5-minute walk down Magnolia Avenue. Cross the street and take a stroll in beautiful Tower Grove Park, a historical landmark created and designed by Henry Shaw in 1868.
A delicious breakfast will be served every morning at 7:00 in the dining room. If you choose to sleep in, a continental breakfast will be waiting for you when you awake.
The bedrooms of Casa Magnolia are beautifully decorated, each with its own unique character. The King Bedroom overlooks historic Tower Grove Park. The Queen and Double Bedroom share a view of the backyard patio and swimming pool. All three rooms have a private bath.
