The The Boone's Lick Trail Inn is only 15 minutes from St. Louis' Lambert International Airport and 25 minutes west of Downtown St. Louis. The bed and breakfast is a key part of the "tout ensemble" of the National Register Historic District. Visually it completes the important intersection at the south end of the district along with the Western House and the Grist Mill.

The Goldenrod Showboat is within easy walking distance of our front door on Main Street in St. Charles.

A Little History: In 1804, an Old Indian Trail was blazed to serve the Boone brothers, sons of Daniel Boone, in their salt manufacturing works in Howard County. This road quickly became the settlers' route from St. Charles, Missouri, through unsettled country to the Arrow Rock Ferry Landing. From there, the Boone's Lick Trail continued on to join the Santa Fe, Oregon and California trails.

The Inn offers an inviting atmosphere, with private and comfortable rooms. A delightful breakfast of the freshest fruits, juices, pastries, breads and homemade jams and jellies is served in the inn's dining room. Our guest rooms have private shower bathrooms, central air, televisions, telephones and ceiling fans. Each is uniquely decorated with fine antiques and flowers from the bed and breakfast's gardens. You may choose from any of our six bedrooms. Bedroom #1 - The Attic Loft Bedroom #2 - The Master Bedroom Bedroom #3 - Entrance onto large gallerie wrap-around porch. Bedroom #4 - Yellow pine flooring and a garden motif. On gallerie porch level. Bedroom #5 - Overlooks the garden level. Bedroom #6 - With a Colonial four poster bed.
