In tribute to the period of 1769 to 1804 when St. Charles was owned by Spain, we have designed a room with a Spanish Colonial flare. From the four poster bed to the lighting fixtures to the wall coverings, you will feel the influence of our Spanish friends. Beautiful, tartly and spicy are words that describe it. It is a favorite of our interior designer. The air jetted tub with Spanish spa products is highlighted by an exposed 167 year old stone wall and Spanish tile. Look out your window or walk on the back porch and your view of the Missouri River is a picture that will create a memory. The Vermont casting stove will give you a fireplace on those frosty evenings in front of which you can warm your toes. This is a room for those with a taste for Spain, the tango and a love for the city of Barcelona.

Our interior designer, Debbie Donnelly who is a top designer in St. Louis, has integrated French Colonial fabrics and colors into this room so well that you might think that the Eifel Tower is right outside of your authentic French doors. The room emanates romance. The four poster bed covered with the finest French fabrics will give you that "secret place" to share your most intimate thoughts. During those chilly fall and winter nights, you can snuggle down into the sheets and enjoy the warmth and fire of your own Vermont casting stove. The Canadian BainUltra jetted tub will soothe your body and you will enjoy the unique way that we have designed to fill your bath. French spa products will enhance your bathing experience.

The Thomas Jefferson Suite is the most elegant of our rooms as we recognize the influence of our third President, the principal author of the Declaration of Independence and the creator of the Lewis and Clark expedition. The whole second floor is your retreat, complete with the original stone fireplace and old growth flooring from 1837. Have you ever wanted your own reading room? The Thomas Jefferson suite has its own such room. Time travel nearly two centuries forward and you can soak in your air jetted bath complete with spa products from Provence, France. A shower is a shower is a shower. No, not really. It is 48 x 36 inches wide with an all glass front and colonial style tiles. The four body sprays combined with the rain shower will most certainly energize you. Take your coffee and step out on to the back porch for a morning view of the Missouri River and Frontier Park.
