The Amber House Bed & Breakfast

This old-world European style room is decorated in rich blue-gray and antique gold. There is an alabaster fireplace, carved armoire, carved settee with gilded finish and ornate Queen-size iron bed. The adjoining bath is probably our most romantic, featuring a corner soaking tub for two, a glass block walk-in shower, and 2 neo-classical design pedestal sinks.

Soothing, jade green walls are featured in this elegant room with Asian accents. There is a Queen-size "windowpane" mahogany bed, unique carved side tables and corner fireplace/armoire. The "spa" bath offers 2 vessel sinks and a luxurious 2-person, multi-jet shower, perfect for relaxing after a long day of shopping or hiking.

A carved mahogany King-size poster bed facing the burled walnut fireplace is the focal point of this room. Edwardian-style furnishings in rich colors add to the room's charm. The adjoining bath boasts a 2-person air-jet whirlpool tub plus a separate corner shower, and 2 vintage-style sinks.

Dramatic art deco décor in tan and black graces this room located in the turret, and furnished with a polished oak 4-poster King-size bed and art deco armoire. The 2-way fireplace provides ambiance to the bedroom and our most luxurious bath featuring 2 pedestal sinks, a 2-person air-jet whirlpool tub and 2-person dual-head shower.

• Your reservation is confirmed upon receipt of a deposit equal to one night’s room rate including applicable taxes and fees charged to a valid credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and cash.
• Check-in is between 4 and 7 p.m. Later check-in is possible by special arrangement. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate early check-ins.
• Check-out is 11 a.m.
• Room rates are per night for one or two people and include multi-course, gourmet breakfast, complimentary beverages and snacks.
• Some high season, holiday or special event weekends may require a 2-night stay.
• We do not have facilities for pets. The innkeepers’ cat is confined to the owners’ quarters.
• Our accommodations do not meet the needs of children under 14.
• Amber House is a totally non-smoking inn – Smoking is not permitted either inside or on the grounds. An automatic $150 cleaning charge will be assessed if any signs of smoking are found in the guest's room
• No candles or open flames are permitted.
• Cancellation Policy:
  • When a guest room is reserved you agree to accept financial responsibility for room charges and we agree to provide the room and all related services.
  • We thereafter decline any other requests for the room - unlike hotels we do not overbook.
  • If a reservation is cancelled at least 10 days in advance of the scheduled arrival date, a refund of the reservation deposit less a 10% handling charge will be given, or fully exchanged for a gift certificate to be used on a future date.
  • When a cancellation is received with 9 days or less in advance of the scheduled arrival date, the party will be charged for the entire cost of the reserved night(s) unless we are able to re-book the room for all nights reserved.
  • Cancellation charges will be assessed in all cases of cancellation with less than 10 days notice unless we are able to re-book the room for all nights cancelled.
  • If the room is rebooked, a refund will be given less a 10% handling charge.
• Group reservations:
  • Because Amber House has only 4 guest rooms, reservation of 2 or more rooms for the same night(s) will require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of the reservation and the balance due at check-in.
  • If the reservation is cancelled with at least 30 days notice, there will be no additional charges.
  • If the cancellation is made with 29 days or less notice, the entire balance due for the stay will be charged.
• For everyone's safety and convenience only registered guests are permitted in the guest rooms.
