Wabasha is located in southeastern Minnesota, along the Mississippi River, and it is home to many cozy B\u0026B establishments. It was the setting of the films "Grumpy Old Men" and "Grumpier Old Men". Wabasha is famous for its large eagle population; the great birds are abundant in the winter months, and nest all year round in the area. The first week in September sees the Watermelon Festival in nearby Kellogg. The annual celebration of the area's greatest crop has been going on now for over sixty years. If you are thinking about attending any of these wonderful family events, why not book a room in advance at a Wabasha bed and breakfast or a Wabasha inn. Wabasha is home to the National Eagle Center, devoted to the region's prominent population of golden and bald eagles. The center's aviary features three live bald eagles and one golden eagle. The Coffee Mill Ski and Snowboard Resort is located in Wabasha, offering a great winter sports experience. The "Pearl of the Lake", a reproduction 19th century paddle-wheel steamer, offers excursion and dinner cruises on the Mississippi River. The Olde Triangle Pub, located in downtown Wabasha, offers traditional Irish lagers and home-cooked Irish cuisine. The Historic Anderson House is Minnesota's oldest bed and breakfast, dating back to 1856. In addition to lodging, the Anderson House offers traditional Pennsylvania Dutch fare, and local fish and fowl specialties in an elegant nineteenth-century inn atmosphere.
