Imagine it's 1895, you have arrived at your destination point, in the beautiful heart of the lakes region of Minnesota, Gus and Caroline Thayer's new place; you are more than ready for that pampering you heard only they provide! You know that with a good meal and a comfortable bed you will be ready to take on the world!

Today at Thayer's we still pamper with Gus and Caroline's Old West Hospitality and Style. We have 11 comfortable, gorgeous guest rooms each with a private bath and authentic antiques you can sit on; we provide delightful meals in exquisite Victorian surroundings plus...

We consider ourselves very fortunate because Thayer's is a haunted B&B. Gus and Caroline Thayer and a number of their friends stop in and visit us regularly, we have Ghost Hunting Weekends, breakfasts that fill your tummy and make your taste buds smile, Interactive Murder Mystery Dinners, Comedy Review Dinner Shows, Afternoon and High Teas, Carriage Rides, and Psychic Readings with gifted psychic, our owner, Sharon Gammell. Miss Sadie Cat and Tennessee, Sharon's Main Coon Kitty Cats are always happy to share a purr; Sharon and staff are ready with warm Minnesota hospitality, comfort and respect for each and every guest. Sharon is also a wedding officiate and Thayer’s makes a wonderful location for a wedding and reception.

Is breakfast a favorite meal for you? If it is, you will be more than pleased with Sharon's! Breakfast at your own private table is always included with your stay and includes great coffee and juice served in courses beginning with fresh fruit, cheese and pastries, a terrific mouth watering main course and she finishes off with hand dipped chocolate dipped strawberries. At Thayer's Historic Bed & Breakfast we understand special dietary needs including Heart Healthy, Sugar Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, and Gluten Free - Dairy Free to name just a few. Experiencing dining at Thayer's is effortless no matter what your special diet! The only thing we ask is that you tell us what you require when you place your reservations. We proudly serve and sell Beeler's Pork products - all natural and NO nitrates!

About an hour and a quarter West from Downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul, MN. and minutes SE from St. Cloud, MN. So close to the Twin Cities, and still far enough away to enjoy!
