Introduction

Experience firsthand, the uniqueness of falling asleep under a mariner's guiding light and Lake Superior's waves gently or ferociously coming ashore. Bask in the historic flavor of this turn of the century home. Then explore the diverse year-round recreational activities and natural beauty of the North Shore.

Built in 1892, the Two Harbors Lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a working Lighthouse. As Assistant Lighthouse Keepers, guests contribute to the preservation of this historic lighthouse. Guests learn about the history of the Lighthouse and proceeds are poured back into the restoration and maintenance of this historic lighthouse treasure.

Incomparable Beauty, Breathtaking Views

During your stay with us, you are invited to use all of our common rooms and guests are invited to use the kitchen on a limited basis. The living room is a great spot to spend some quiet time basking in the wonderful scenery. The primary attraction in our dining room is a candle lit Scandinavian breakfast for all guests who want to pamper themselves a bit.

With a wealth of possible recreation near at hand, the Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast Inn welcomes birders, paddlers, biking enthusiasts, winter sports participants and hikers. Whether you walk the Sonju trail around the lighthouse or go birding or nature watching on the nearby Superior Hiking Trail, ski, snowshoe or snowmobile a web of trails in the area, or simply seek rest and relaxation, the keeper's house is your home during your stay.

Keeper's Room
Keeper's Room 		We have four rooms available, each with a view of Lake Superior that changes continuously. Even our clean and simple common bathroom offers a wonderful lake view. The Skiff House, a more rustic room, is located a few steps from the Keeper's Quarters. Away from the main house it offers a unique sense of privacy. The Skiff House has a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub (no shower).

Rates May 2008 through October 2008 are

Sunday thru Thursday: $135 plus tax.
Friday & Saturday: $145 plus tax.
The Skiff House rate: is an additional $10 per evening.

Rates November 2008 through April 2009 are

Sunday thru Thursday: $109 plus tax.
Friday & Saturday: $135 plus tax.
The Skiff House rate: is an additional $10 per evening.

Policies
  • When a reservation is made 50% of the total room amount due will be charged to your credit card.
  • We accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa.
  • For final Balance we except the above credit cards and travelers checks or cash.
  • If you wish to pay the balance by check or cash you must let us know at least 3 days before your arrival or your credit card will be charged.
  • No Pets
  • Smoke-Free
  • Children Upon Arrangement
  • Cancellations regardless of the reason must be made 14 days prior to stay, for a refund. The deposit, less a $35 processing fee, will be refunded.
  • Check-In: 3 - 5 PM; Check-Out: 11 AM
  • Coffee ready at 8am. A full hot breakfast will be served in the Dining Room at 9AM (Please let us know any Special Dietary Requirements when reservation is made)
