The Magic Door is a stately, three story Victorian located on a spacious corner lot, just four blocks from downtown Northfield, Minnesota. It was built in 1899 by Henry Boe, the owner of one of Northfield's first hardware stores. The house has been both a private residence and a triplex before we purchased it in February 2001 to create our bed & breakfast.

The house offers a peaceful haven, but with all of the modern conveniences you need to be pampered; including private baths. We serve complimentary wine and appetizers on Friday and Saturday nights and a gourmet breakfast both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Weekdays we serve an exceptional breakfast and afternoon fresh baked cookies.

Janesville is a city in Waseca County, and is home to many comfortably, cozy B&B establishments. The Waseca County Free Fair is an annual celebration with rides, food and more. The Mid America Festival is complete with family activities and plenty of food. The Reinbold Sportsmen Campground is the best camping site in the area. The Janesville Bowl is the best bowling alley in the area and has night bowlings. Book a room in advance at a Janesville bed and breakfast or a Janesville inn and you'll be glad you did. The Budget Mart Hot Stuff Pizza has the best, cheap pizza in town. Maddy B's Cafe serves up great baked goods daily.
