The Magic Door is a stately, three story Victorian located on a spacious corner lot, just four blocks from downtown Northfield, Minnesota. It was built in 1899 by Henry Boe, the owner of one of Northfield's first hardware stores. The house has been both a private residence and a triplex before we purchased it in February 2001 to create our bed & breakfast.

The house offers a peaceful haven, but with all of the modern conveniences you need to be pampered; including private baths. We serve complimentary wine and appetizers on Friday and Saturday nights and a gourmet breakfast both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Weekdays we serve an exceptional breakfast and afternoon fresh baked cookies.

Dundas is a city in Rice County, and it is home to many special B&B establishments. The Renaissance Festival brings back the middle ages. The Minnesota State Fair brings state-wide exhibits, food and more to the area.
