Introduction
Welcome to The Wren's Nest!
Guests at this bed & breakfast are treated to a stay in a historic home
that dates back to the 1840s. The home’s fourth owner, Irene Scheel, has preserved
this historic Greek Revival home while making it a comfortable, convenient and
charming inn located in a country-like setting. At The Wren’s
Nest, guests - adults, children and pets - are treated to old-fashion
hospitality with modern conveniences.
A plethora of perennial and annual flower beds accent the professionally
landscaped grounds surrounding this farmhouse adjacent to a woodland, in a
country setting. Numerous birdhouses, creations of the innkeeper, are scattered
around the property, and the innkeeper has planted more than 60 varieties of
heirloom tomatoes in a heritage vegetable garden.
You'll feel at home in one of the six large bedrooms when you
are relaxing or working near the wood-burning fireplace, watching television in
the living room or enjoying quiet time or stimulating conversation on one of the
two sun porches.
Our staff will make sure you start your mornings with a full-course homemade breakfast, prepared from scratch with only the freshest foods
and no preservatives. (We are more than willing to cater for specific dietary
needs. Please let us know when making a reservation.)
Imagine holding your special event at a historic bed & breakfast, without
having to worry about catering or cleanup. The Wren's Nest is also available for afternoon tea gatherings, children's teas, and other parties.
This property has been featured in Detroit News, The West Bloomfield Eccentric, Midwest Living and Japanese Free Press.
