Vitosha is suitable as a discreet, small or second wedding venue, with guest lists of 85 or fewer. Bar mitzvahs, rehearsal dinners, banquets and recitals are also welcome. For each season we offer both a Teahouse and Concert Hall, with Gazebo weddings during the kinder weather. Climbing hydrangeas, quince and plum trees create a distinctly English walled garden effect. In the Hall a baby grand piano and Holtkamp pipe organ are available to professional musicians, and we maintain a no D.J. policy due to our excellent acoustics and residential location. A closure time of 10PM is strongly suggested, with 8PM the time to conclude out-of-doors activity.
Ten 60" round tables (8 guests each) are available, with vintage folding chairs included in pricing (may be slipcovered). Caterers provide all other implements and foodstuff, including arrangements for outdoor folding chairs in Gazebo area; table linens and place settings are also their province. Please contact our preferred caterers for details and pricing: Food for All Seasons (734) 747-9099, Moveable Feast (734) 428-9526, Christian’s Catering (734) 439-FOOD, or… Zingermans (734) 663-3400.
Restrictions include a no hard liquor policy, with only foods from a licensed catering kitchen allowed. No amplified music in the Gazebo Garden, please. Due to the historic nature of the property, no additional nails, tape or tacks may be utilized.
Concert Hall Rates: Recital: $175, Conference: $350, Wedding: $750
Tea House Rates: Private Tea: $200, Business Meeting: $300, Wedding: $600
Performances
Featuring a Holtkamp pipe organ, baby grand piano, raised stage and Dessert Loft box seats, Vitosha’s Concert Hall is a suitable venue for professional performances and theatre. The acoustics are particularly well suited for strings and voice, with seating for 100 guests. An in-house catering kitchen allows for dinner theatre, or cabaret performances with a small repast. Artists are invited to submit proposals for the 2007 season.
The Hall may be reserved at especially discounted rates for student recitals.
Please ask us about our reception food policy.
Parking
Lodging guests may park on the Berkshire side street with Vitosha parking passes (weekdays only). For larger events parking is at 1833 Washtenaw, the First Christ Scientist Church lot. Clients: please make certain to include that information with your printed invitations. Thank you!
