Introduction
Located in an historic Castlestone Complex, just minutes from University of Michigan classrooms, Vitosha boasts lodging for 32 in English period surroundings with cyber savvy amenities. Ten lodgings include six fireplace rooms, all baths en suite. We accommodate kosher and vegan breakfast requests (no meat at table).
Chess sets, cozy reading nooks, a formal Concert Hall with raised stage, pipe organ and dessert loft; gardens with grape, English roses, quince and a lily pond all serve to entertain lodgers. We use green laundry methods, are avid recyclers, and encourage guests to use our down comforters and wear a sweater to lessen our environmental impact. Children under ten stay free. Pets on the premises, no smoking indoors please.
Since Vitosha Guest Haus' inception, the proprietor has envisioned a Cultural Center component,
to be a noteworthy complement to Ann Arbor's other fine entertainment, academic and artistic venues.
Artists both far and near are invited to participate. Writers, choreographers and visual artists
are invited to submit applications for residence at Vitosha, with opportunities
to teach workshops, exhibit and sell, and stage televised panel discussions.
Vitosha Guest Haus is the 3rd incarnation of Dr. Dean Meyer's historic home (1917), restored and refurbished by the Constantinovs, a decade ago. Following the tenure of the Unitarians, who added two buildings to the complex, it now serves as a sophisticated lodging, retreat, cultural and conference venue, just minutes from Central Campus classrooms. For guests' amusement it features a Holtkamp pipe organ in the Hall and period furnishings - while maintaining a cyber savvy environment for scholars and business people. Lodging has been expanded to feature private baths in ten rooms, breakfast and WI-FI, with six fireplace rooms. Thirty-two (32) guest capacity.
