Introduction
Welcome to the Park House Inn, a Saugatuck Michigan Bed & Breakfast
tradition for over twenty years. Whether you are a first time B & B guest or returning again, we can help you leave your busy life behind, relax and reconnect with yourself. You will find the Park House a perfect spot the year round. Lazy days at the beach or dune exploring in the warmer months and snow shoeing or cross country skiing in the winter, Saugatuck has lots to offer you and your friends. Let us create your special getaway package with choices of pampering in-room massages, chilled wines, and beautiful
flowers to grace your own private jacuzzi or hot tub suite.
The Park House is Saugatuck's oldest residence.
The summer of 2005 brought with it an exciting change for a Saugatuck
landmark. For the first time since its renovation twenty years ago, the
Park House Inn Bed and Breakfast came under new ownership. Detroit natives
Adele Rossi and Toni Trudell fulfilled their dream of becoming bed and
breakfast owners bringing the nearly 150 year old Park House into a new
era. Diving into peak season, Rossi and Trudell quickly developed a
delicious repertoire of breakfasts in the midst of unpacking boxes,
mastering the reservation system, and renovating and opening a new guest
suite. In addition, they added a new handicap accessible ramp, began
revitalizing the landscape and guest rooms, and commissioned local artist
Robert Krauss to create their new sign. Trudell and Rossi already enjoy
being part of Saugatuck and look forward to extending the warmth and
elegance of the Park House Inn to their community and its visitors.
Park House Inn offers 9 rooms, 8 with Queen beds, 1 King, all with private
baths, some with jacuzzi tubs, hot tubs balconies and fireplaces. Snuggle by the
fireplaces or hide away on your private balcony in one of our jacuzzi suites. Pamper yourself with an in-room massage.
The decor at Park House is country and comfortable, with wide-planked
pine floors, throw rugs, fireplaces and antique furniture. The
Susan B. Anthony Room is carefully furnished in the style the innkeepers feel would have been popular when this famous lady was a guest at Park House.
The Park House offers a delicious full breakfast every morning. One item of
that breakfast that strikes a special note with guests is BooBear's
Granola. The granola recipe was created by Sallie three years ago and is
named after her grandaughter Hannah. It is made from scratch using cashews,
pecans, almonds, rolled oats and maple syrup (just to name a few
ingredients). One of the favorite ways of serving BooBear's is as a parfait
with fresh fruit and yogurt. One of the many great ways to start a day at
the Park House Inn! Both BooBear's Granola & our own special, rich Park
House blend of coffee are available for purchase.
After breakfast, a short walk will take you to the heart of Saugatuck shopping on
the banks of the Kalamazoo River. And just beyond the
dunes, Lake Michigan calls.
Open all year, guests particularly enjoy Michigan's winter vista,
Candlelit Christmases, and invigorating cross country skiing weekends
which begin fireside and end with toasted marshmallows. Our guests can now enjoy a variety of special dinners year round. These include winetasting dinners, Mother's Day brunches, Memorial day picnics, and many other special dinners throughout the year. The Tulip Time Festival in May is always celebrated with a traditional Dutch dinner. Lake Michigan cruises and tours are always popular with visitors to this part of the state.
