The Looking Glass Inn was built in the late 1920s as a summer cottage. In the mid 1940s it was converted to a summer resort, and was called the Odessa Annex, part of the Shore Crest Hotel Complex.
The largest of the three annexes, Odessa boasted a total of 13 guest rooms and an occupancy of up to 36 guests.
The Inn was one of the most popular vacation spots in the Grand Haven area for several decades. It has been a single family dwelling of the Lietzke family for about 30 years.
In 1998 hosts, Howie and Norma Glass, purchased the home and converted it into a bed and breakfast.
