Introduction
The Last B&B Resort Inn is South Haven's very first and ever built resort Bed & Breakfast located between Lake Michigan and the City Marina. All rooms except two have views of the water, making it truly special! The lake is just a half block on one side, the harbor is a half block on the other side, and town is just a ten minute stroll across the drawbridge.
Your Innkeeper and Artist, Mary, is in her twenty-fifth season this year... no small feat! Her artwork is throughout the entire Inn, including the Inn Gallery and all of the common areas, not to mention all of the more contemporary penthouses suites. Every room has air conditioning and all the comfort that you deserve.
All groups are welcome. Twenty-one beds are available for those needing separate beds. The Inn Gallery is a great place to meet casually and comfortably. Also, small weddings can be hosted for a wonderful, intimate affair at the Inn Gallery.
The Last B&B Resort Inn is Mary's largest work of art. One can see also the international flavor she has picked up and incorporated in the decor. In the many small historic rooms, she has on display wall hangings from places like India, Guatemala, and China! Travelers, of all ages, as well as families are invited to stay here from North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia and other parts of the World.
The Last B&B Resort Inn began when the building was built in 1883 by Civil War Captain Barney Dyckman as South Haven's very first resort Inn. It ran until 1959, when it was closed up and was virtually abandoned for twenty years. It was purchased and renovated from 1979 until its reopening in 1983, as South Haven's very first bed and breakfast Inn! It is open May 1st through October.
