Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Ray Riker and Jim Gowran have been vacationing in Saugatuck and Douglas, Michigan for over a decade.  As virtually everyone does, they fell in love with the area so much they decided to open a bed and breakfast and purchased The Kirby House.  Now they get to combine their love of the area, hospitality, and talents in their own business.

Ray has 25 years experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry with four-star restaurant's in Detroit, the Ritz Carlton, and his own catering business.  His gourmet breakfasts are rivaled only by his gourmet dinners!

Jim's experience goes back 12 years in the banking industry.  From front-line customer service experience to senior management staff member, his corporate banking experience and marketing degree add to the business end of this venture!
