The Emery House is a three story brick Georgian Colonial house in the
National Register "Historic District" of downtown
Muskegon's Heritage Village, two blocks from Muskegon
Lake and seven minutes to Lake Michigan beaches.
|
The house was built in 1903 by John Emery, Jr., co-founder of the Shaw Electric
Crane Company and President of National Lumberman's Bank.
|
The Emery House features a grand staircase leading to the second floor inhouse
bedrooms, tastefully decorated with antiques.
There is also a quaint, private suite in the carriage house.
The third floor ballroom will bring you back to the days when ladies in long
gowns and gents in starched shirts circled the floor to a graceful waltz. Turn
of the century "mystery lady" portraits look on from the walls.
