Charlevoix, Michigan is a city situated on Lake Michigan. Its Annual Apple Festival Craft Show is a three-day event held to honor local orchards and growers. Activities include a craft show, face painting, pony and horse rides, a petting zoo, and lots of fall harvest foods on sale, including 30 varieties of apples. At the Winter Solstice Celebration in December, you can take a hayride and drink hot chocolate around a roaring bonfire. Attractions in town include the Charlevoix Lighthouse, the Railroad Depot Museum, and the Charlevoix Historical Society. You can also pick your own fruits in the orchards of Kiteley Farms, try your luck at gambling at the Odawa Casino Resort, and take advantage of endless opportunities if you just love to go shopping. Local sports activities include hiking, biking, skiing (both downhill and cross-country), swimming, and golf. Chee Peng Chinese Restaurant specializes in Chinese and Thai cuisine and serves a dinner buffet on Fridays and Saturdays. The Grey Gables Inn Restaurant offers fine dining with Victorian decor and is best known for its homemade scones and its prime rib. You can also enjoy the piano bar here from Wednesday to Sunday.
