The Bridge Street Inn, formerly known as Baker Cottage, was built in 1895. It was a time when Charlevoix saw many resplendent grand hotels, one of these being the Beach Hotel. The Bakers, builders of the Beach Hotel, also built over a dozen cottages used by guests of the hotel. The Baker Cottage, although originally intended as the Bakers' personal residence, was designed to accommodate vacationers needing lodging. Then high operational costs guaranteed the demise of the mighty hotels, they were torn down. Many of the Beach Hotel's cottages fell prey to decay and modern development. Today, only a handful still exist. So please, come stay with us in one of the "last of its kind"!
