Introduction

This rustic old farmhouse in a gorgeous country setting provides a unique opportunity to get away from the noise and bustle... Bluebird Trails Bed & Breakfast - Hillsdale, Michigan ... of the city. Enjoy strolling nature trails through meadows and woodlands or sitting and watching sheep by the pond.

Hillsdale, located in South-Central Michigan just north of the junction of Michigan, Indiana and Ohio,
is home to Hillsdale College.

One of the many happy guests wrote, "Excellent B&B!! Loved the homemade breakfast & wonderful hospitality. Thank you for letting us share the beauty of nature with you. Enjoyed the animals, trails, sitting for hours, biking down country roads, relaxing by the fireplace and our favorite, watching the birds. P.S. Love the fact that we have the whole B&B to ourselves."


Lake House

This cottage is situated on 320 acres of land, of which the majority is maintained for the wildlife.

There are several ponds nestled among the hills. Abundant wildlife, both common and uncommon species.

We maintain a 75 house bluebird trail, used by both bluebirds and tree swallows. A bald eagle sat in a tree overlooking our lake this spring.

Trail hiking is limited during autumn due to hunting season.

Living Room Very private; you have the entire cottage to yourselves, including the living room with a fireplace and a full kitchen to cook your evening meals if you like. A full breakfast is included.

Your hosts, Larry and Emilie, live in a farmhouse across the yard with their daughter. They moved here from the city several years ago and love sharing the area with people like them who want a weekend away with nature.
