Our 100 year old four-square enjoys a country location just 5 minutes from Shanty Creek Resort's world-class golf courses, Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, Alden and the Grass River Natural Area's hiking and biking trails. Traverse City and Charlevoix are only 1/2 an hour away; Mackinac Island, Charlevoix and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park are an hour or so away and offer great day trip adventures. Applesauce Inn Bed & Breakfast - Bellaire, Michigan We pride ourselves on the Inn's casual, comfortable and friendly atmosphere; this is our home, and we want it to be yours while you're here! We are the only Inn in the area that welcomes well-traveled and well-behaved dogs; Grantz Room only, with a $15 per night surcharge each.

We do have resident pets; Assistant Innkeeper Bella is a sweet & quiet 7 year old boxer who was a rescue 3 years ago. Lucy is our new 2 year old rescue and "Assistant Innkeeper In Training". They are not allowed in guest areas unless guests ask to meet them--which makes them very happy--- And when they're happy, they wiggle like crazy!!!! :)
