Introduction
Mt. Katahdin Room
The Historic Young House was built in the early 1900s by Millinocket's first druggist, William J. Heebner. The home was later purchased by Gilbert Moran who owned one of the first department stores in town. In the mid-1950s, Doctor and Mrs. Ernest T. Young made this their home and it is for them that The Young House is named.
When you visit The Young House, be prepared to be fed! We have elevated the country breakfast to an art form. Whether it is homemade sausage gravy and biscuits, homemade corned beef hash with eggs, or light and fluffy pancakes, you will be delighted.
The Young House offers five comfortable guest rooms each with private bath, queen size bed, air conditioning, hairdryer, cable TV with DVD player, wireless internet, and plenty of pillows. Room rates which include a full breakfast are $90 a night. + 7% Maine State room tax.
