Anne's White Columns Inn, an impressive Georgian structure, is located in the Historical Corridor in downtown Bar Harbor. Upon entering through the columned portico, one is greeted by the Victorian elegance of the foyer and salon. The huge fireplace is often crackling in spring and fall. The large wicker attired porch provides a peaceful setting for a leisurely breakfast, or your glass of wine and cheese during those long summer afternoons. The spacious grounds are a haven from the downtown activity but still convenient to the shops and restaurants. Each uniquely decorated guest room has a queen-sized bed, private bath, cable TV, air conditioning, and some even have balconies. The decor is a tasteful mix of antiques and reproduction furniture. |

Before a busy day in Acadia National Park, guests enjoy a full breakfast. Hot entrees include quiche, baked French toast or Cheese and herb stata. The menu also includes homemade breads and muffins, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee or tea. Late afternoon provides an opportunity for guests to gather for a wine, cheese and crackers and some great conversation before a short walk to one of the many nearby restaurants. |
