Introduction
The Welch House Inn, a classic New England bed & breakfast, was built atop McKown Hill in 1873 by a family of seafarers. The serene hilltop setting offers an unsurpassed view of Boothbay Harbor and the open ocean, yet restaurants, shops, galleries and all the harbor activities are just steps away.
The Welch House is the perfect bed and breakfast choice for vacations, escapes, honeymoons, and romantic getaways. Planning an event? Our fourteen guest rooms happily accommodate weddings and family reunions, as well as business meetings or executive retreats.

Revel in the magnificent view from our large breakfast room and spacious main deck, while enjoying a delightful gourmet breakfast that changes daily. Choose from our seasonal selection of homemade granola and muffins, fruit and yogurt, and specialty coffee, tea, and cocoa, while we prepare a meal you'll remember. You may be treated to eggs florentine with crispy ham, lemon ricotta pancakes with raspberry syrup, lobster soufflé and citrus salad, or strawberry stuffed french toast with maple bacon.
The deck and living room, both overlooking the harbor, are the perfect gathering places for witty conversation or intimate meetings. We serve complimentary afternoon treats, and coffee, tea, and cocoa are available day and night.
