Introduction
Nestled in the Blue Mountains of Western Maine, The Perennial Inn awaits your visit. Built in 1884, this charming Victorian farmhouse sits on 42 acres of grassy fields, pine forests, streams and ponds. Once a working farm, slowly we are returning it to a gentleman's farm with a small assortment of animals where you can collect the morning eggs for breakfast (early risers only). The building which housed a three generation cider mill can still be seen. This large historic New England home with its wraparound porch, and huge red antique barn combines natural beauty, comfort, and seclusion with convenient access to local area attractions. You'll find it hard to believe you're only a country mile from Route 2.
All guestrooms have large windows, air conditioning, cable television, queen-size beds adorned in cozy quilts and soft linens, sitting areas, and each is uniquely appointed in antiques and fine furniture.
Breakfast is a generally served from 8:00 until 9:30 a.m. and coffee is available earlier for early risers. Our hearty country breakfast includes fresh fruit and melon, fresh bread, a main course and meat. Cereal, yogurt, and oatmeal are always available.

Whether you are looking for a romantic get away, a family vacation, or a business stopover, you have found the right place. The ambiance projects a genuine feeling of country hospitality. You will be pampered with thick, thirsty cotton towels, warm terry cloth robes and cozy, warm down comforters. Serene instrumental music gently fills the public areas as the afternoon fire crackles in the fieldstone fireplace in the gathering room. When you come back from your day excursion of shopping, a day at a beautiful sand beach at a nearby lake or river, hiking, skiing, or another of the area's activities, a large billiard table waits for an early evening game between you and new and old friends before leaving for a quiet dinner nearby. When you arrive back from dinner, the jets to the hot tub will be gurgling as you walk by, inviting you to soak under the stars, completing a perfect day in the country.
