Introduction
Welcome to The Oxford House Inn, a Maine Bed and Breakfast and Country Inn with a gourmet restaurant in the Western Lakes and Mountains Region of Maine. Owned by Culinary Institute of America graduate Jonathan Spak & his wife Natalie, the Inn is a stately turn-of-the-century Mission style residence designed by the famous Maine architect John Calvin Stevens in 1913. Situated in the village of Fryeburg, Maine, our bed and breakfast has spectacular White Mountain views. We are highly recommended by many New England guides: Pamela Lanier's Bed & Breakfast Guide, Recommended Country Inns of New England, Inn Spots & Special Places and Maine an Explorers' Guide. We offer fantastic dining by candlelight, 4 elegant guest rooms and genuine hospitality.
With a grand presence on Main Street our inn is located in the Mount Washington Valley near the Saco River, the White Mountain National Forest, Kezar Lake, Sebago Lake and the Greater Bridgton Lakes & Mountains Region. We are open all year.
The Inn is surrounded by lakes, mountains and rivers, with many nearby year-round activities. During our summer months enjoy sandy beaches, hunting, fishing, antique shops, hiking, cycling, golf, skiing, and factory outlet shopping, dining or escape behind the Inn, for spectacular mountain views from the back lawn and gardens. In the wintertime take a snowy walk, ski, snowmobile or snowshoe right behind the Inn! There are cross country and downhill ski areas close by.
In an atmosphere of country elegance, experience friendly hospitality while you enjoy a gourmet dinner by candlelight. Our menu showcases local & organic produce when available, fresh meats and seafood, and spectacular homemade desserts. Meals are served in three handsome dining rooms or on the enclosed back porch where there is a great view of the sun setting behind the White Mountains. You may also choose to eat at JONATHAN’S, located on the lower level of The Oxford House Inn. The granite walls hung with local artist’s works are the perfect setting for the innovative appetizers, light entrees and creative cocktails served there.
Our restaurant is open for dinner nightly summer and fall and Thursday - Sunday, winter and spring.
