On two acres of estate grounds, Mira Monte Inn charms guests with quiet Victorian surroundings updated with modern amenities. The Inn was built in 1864 and named Mira Monte, "behold the mountain", in 1892 by its wealthy Philadelphia owners. Always an elegant summer retreat, Mira Monte is graced by bay windows, balconies, and a beautiful wrap-around front porch. |
| A love of style is evidenced everywhere by terraces, sweeping lawns, two formal gardens, hedgerows, and perennial borders. Our gardens are award winning and have been featured in Arrington's Bed & Breakfast Journal and on Home and Garden Television (HGTV) in "Secret Gardens of Bar Harbor". |

The Inn has 13 beautifully decorated rooms comfortably furnished with period style pieces, private baths (some with Jacuzzis), TV/VCR, phones, irons, ironing boards, hair dryers, and air conditioning. Most of our rooms also offer fireplaces and balconies for our guests' comfort and privacy. Two of the rooms are handicap accessible. |
S U I T E S |
The suites are in a separate building on the property - just a short walk through the gardens. Two have a kitchenette, double whirlpool bath, fireplace, bedroom, parlor, and private porch. The third has two bedrooms and two baths, kitchen, dining bay, parlor with gas fireplace, and a private deck overlooking the grounds. |
Our beautiful, romantic rooms are complimented by common rooms including the parlor and the library where guests relax by a glowing fire. A glassed-in side porch with a gas fireplace offers another quiet retreat. Included in your stay is a tasty, full buffet breakfast and afternoon refreshments. Friendly staff will answer your questions about the inn and the lovely surrounding Acadia National Park.

Mira Monte Inn is an easy walk to delightful shops, excellent restaurants and the waterfront. The wealth of area activities to choose from include summer theatre and music, whale watching, guided naturalist walks, and sea kayaking. |
